The Song Gardeners is a musical trio from the San Francisco Bay Area featuring singer/songwriter Corrie Dunn (vocals, piano, guitar), singer/songwriter Mary Gospe (vocals, guitar, percussion), and Chris Day (bass). Their original songs are filled with positive, empowering messages and beautiful harmonies.

Written as a response to the chaos of 2020, Mary Gospe’s “Warrior of Light,” (recorded by The Song Gardeners and produced by David Scheibner) offers a message of love and affirmation. Even as our lives have been “rearranged,” Mary’s angelic voice is a salve to our hurt lives. Instead of feeling we are victims, she shares an inspiring mantra that we can be the change, peacefully: “Activate the love inside, be a warrior of light.”

Gospe lets her inner rebel show through as she questions the news narrative and motives behind those who seek control. But, this is not a song about hate or anger. It’s a song about empowerment and courage. It’s an invitation to see past the falsehoods and lies that have divided us. This is an uplifting song that invites the listener to remember we all have the strength and power inside of us to invoke positive change based on love, not fear.
